Naniwa's Super Stone 5000 is a Japanese whetstone with 5000 grit. The Super Stone 5000 is perfect for fine-graining of European and Japanese knives and Straight Razors.
The 2 cm thin Super Stone 5000 is resin bound, which makes it very hard and provides for slow wear. The knife leaves almost no marks on the Super Stone 5000. A few drops of water are enough, and the grinding can start.
For dull knives and Razors, it is recommended to ground in advance on a coarse grindstone such as the Super Stone 1000
