This is Not a Blue Collection Collection gets its name from the Treachery of Images, a famous artwork from the 1920s by the Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte. The painting shows the image of a pipe above a declaration, which reads, “This is not a pipe”. Histoires de Parfums takes inspiration from this art, and in this collection explores the line where things go from void to existence, there is a profound depth of possibility; and of course the infinite realm of blue.

This soft fragrance has a depth, a boldness and a strength similar to that of the beautiful bright full moon on the darkest of nights. 1/.4 from Histoires de Parfum is uniquely composed of completely natural ingredients and inspired by the universal principle of Yin. Inspired by the power and the mystery that the moon in its splendour. The lunar strength and intensity of Davana and Ylang Ylang takes root in the balmy depths of Labdanum and Opoponax. This warm velvety amber perfume may be inspired by the moon but sits distinctly on the earthly plane with its rich and carnal tones.

Mix & Match This is Not a Blue Bottle’s Yin & Yang, 1/.4 and 1/.5 - they are interdependent, however mutually enhance each another. Much as the sun work in synergy with the moon, so too do these fragrances. Opposite yet perfectly complimentary. Together they form an olfactive synergy, a circulation of a breath, which connects natural to synthetic raw ingredients seamlessly.
